Wedding Venues

The Nature Exploration Center opened in 2012 at the Zoo’s entryway. This state-of-the-art facility overlooks the animal collection and offers over 4,000 square feet of indoor event space. It’s ideal for a wedding ceremony or reception, and has an adjacent outdoor plaza with sunset views. Inside the main Zoo, our historic limestone pavilion, Expedition Asia Overlook Pavilion and open-air Chautauqua Amphitheater are also popular choices for couples. The pavilion is perfect for a more casual celebration and the amphitheater offers picturesque views ideal for a wedding ceremony. Read more about our facilities.

Wedding Packages

Wedding packages range from $650 to $3,200, depending on the size and day of the event. Additional fees may include a minimal alcohol fee and refundable damage deposit; alcohol is permitted at events when the Zoo is closed to the public.

• Ultimate Zoo Wedding Package
  up to 220 guests (banquet) | 298 (cocktail setup)
  includes rental of Nature Exploration Center, setup up of tables & chairs inside the facility, Zoo admission for all of your guests, after-hours opening of animal exhibits and an optional ceremony location inside the Zoo.
• Nature Exploration Center Package
  up to 220 guests (banquet) | 298 (cocktail setup)
  includes rental of Nature Exploration Center, setup of tables & chairs inside the facility, does not include access into the Zoo. Admission can be added for an additional charge.
• Ultimate Expedition Asia Outdoor Wedding Package up to 88-152 guests (banquet) | 200 (cocktail set up) includes access to Expedition Asia Exhibits, setup of tables & chairs inside the covered Overlook Pavilion does not include access into the Zoo. Admission and Historic Limestone Pavilion can be added for an additional charge.
• Outdoor Wedding Ceremony and Reception - up to 250 guests
  includes rental of Chautauqua Amphitheater for your ceremony & the Zoo's historic limestone pavilion for your reception. Includes Zoo admission for all of your guests.
• Outdoor Wedding Ceremony - up to 250 guest
  includes rental of Chautauqua Amphitheater or the limestone pavilion. Includes Zoo admission for all of your guests.

Availability & Booking Information

The Zoo's wedding facilities are available to rent year-round, seven days a week. Couples are encouraged to reach out as far as in advance as possible to secure their date, particularly if interested in a spring or fall wedding. These popular seasons often book a year in advance. Catering

Event rental guests are invited to use any caterer they wish, as long as they provide an up-to-date copy of their caterer's license. Additionally, alcohol is permitted at rental events so long as it is in accordance with the Zoo's facility use guidelines, and all city, state and federal laws.
