Puerto Rican Crested Toad

Scientific Name: Peltophryne lemur

Puerto Rican Crested Toads can live up to 10 years and spend much of their time burrowed in the ground. They also shelter in old bird and tarantula holes in the ground and sometimes even dead logs

Size: 2 to 4 inches

Diet: They consume a variety of insects and other small invertebrates such as ants, beetles, spiders, millipeds, etc.

Habitat: Found in subtropical dry and moist forests in Puerto Rico

Conservation Status: 
Critically Endangered
