Renewal/Continuing Education

The license renewal process is completed through your City of Manhattan license portal account. Access the license portal.

Apprentice registration can be renewed online.

Twelve hours of approved continuing education are required every two years to renew general contractor, plumbing, gas, mechanical, and electrical licenses. Six of the required twelve must be code related.

Any person in the full-time employment of the GC company may obtain the hours; however, two people from the same company may not submit the same class for credit.

The completion certificates can be uploaded to your license portal anytime during the year. The continuing education credits must have been acquired during the two years prior to renewal. Credit will not be given without a completion certificate.
