Background

One of the recommendations in the Housing Market Analysis (HMA) was the formation of a Workforce Housing Steering Committee (WHSC) with a specific charge to create a framework and policy for reviewing allocation options for the 10% of the Economic Recovery & Relief sales tax funds dedicated to paying for workforce housing initiatives.

Initial draft policies were presented as recommendations to the City Commission on May 28, 2024. These drafts were heavily influenced by the WHSC's input and perspective.
