Whether you are turning 1 or 101, we have the perfect birthday package at the Flint Hills Discovery Center!

Birthday Party Package

Cost:

FHDC Members: $325
Non-Members: $350
A $100 excessive cleaning fee may be assessed for damage, stains, glitter, etc.

This is ideal for children's parties; our friendly staff will handle all the party details.

We supply:

Birthday themed cupcakes, ice cream, and drinks.
20 total birthday party passes including youth (ages 2 to 17) and adult (ages 18 and over). All guests must have a pass. Children under two are free. Additional guests are not allowed.
Two-hour private room program (including set-up and clean-up) and an education staff member to lead activities.
Basic birthday decorations for the room and serving supplies.

All you need to bring are the guests, presents, and a sense of adventure! You can also bring additional food or decorations as needed.

Time slots available:

Please choose one of the following time slots for your party. One-month advance notice is required to schedule.

Saturday: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm or 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Sunday: 2 pm to 4 pm.
Monday through Friday: Any two-hour slot, 10 am to 5 pm.

Dinosaur Birthday
- All Ages
- Explore the prehistoric world of the dinosaurs. Unearth a T-Rex skeleton, get close to fossil replicas, or race in a T-Rex relay. Party guests also create a dino craft to take home.
Mad Scientists
- Ages 6 to 12
- Discover the fun of science as you take part in spectacular science demonstrations including elephant toothpaste, dry ice fun, and amazing bubbling potions! Party guests create and take-home Mad Science oobleck or slime.
Flint Hills Experience
- All Ages
- Bugs, birds, and grasses, oh my! Step into the Flint Hills and explore the wonders of nature. Children will become bug brainiacs, prairie animal enthusiasts, or "snake-sperts" including visits from our education animals. Each child will create a take-home craft inspired by the Flint Hills.
Build-It Birthday
- Ages 6 to 12
- Your budding engineer will enjoy a birthday full of construction challenges! Build a marble maze or stack the highest tower out of KEVA blocks then knock it down with a take-home catapult. The package includes a visit from our box turtle to learn how she carries her home on her back.

Discovery Party Package

FHDC Members and Non-Members: $250
A $100 excessive cleaning fee may be assessed for damage, stains, glitter, etc.

An alternative for those who wish to plan their own party. Appropriate for any age, it's perfect with a private room and discounted passes.

We supply:

Two-hour private room rental during the time slots listed above (including set-up and clean-up).
20 youth (ages 2 to 17) or adult (ages 18 and over) birthday party passes. All guests must have a pass. Additional passes are discounted to $4 for youth and $9 for adults. Current FHDC members are free but must check in at the Guest Services desk prior to the party. Children under two are free.

You bring guests, presents, and any food or decorations needed.

Add-On Education

Choose a 30-minute program for $75 or double the fun with a 60-minute program for $120. Topics include cowboys, bison, geology, and our live reptiles. Perfect for kids' birthday parties! Learn how you can add a fun educational program to your birthday party rental.
